Guangdong Real Estate Information

Average rent for industrial manufacturing and warehouse facilities around the city of Guangzhou, in Guangdong province averaged RMB 19.4 per square meter for 2010. R&D facilities range from RMB 30 to RMB 50 per square meter per month, but prices may increase due to low vacancy rates. Utility costs for industrial purposes remain relatively consistent throughout Guangdong. Utility costs for industrial purposes have increased slightly due to several power shortages across the nation. Manufacturing facilities throughout the past 5 years have been growing so quickly that China’s infrastructure is struggling to supply the necessary resources to keep up with the exponential growth. In some cases, China has cut back hours so that electricity needs and water supply needs may be equally met. As China has struggled to meet electricity needs throughout the nation, the cost of electricity, from 2010 to 2011, increased by RMB 0.012 per kilowatt hour ($0.004 per kwh).  In 2010, water costs ranged from RMB 1.29 to RMB 1.8 per cubic meter.  They have increased slightly in 2011 to somewhere between RMB 1.36 and RMB 2 per cubic meter for industrial use.  Electricity costs for Guangdong were from RMB 0.63 to RMB 0.71.   With all things considered, the average industrial utility cost for 2011 stands at RMB 21.8.
