Zhejiang Real Estate Information

In 2010, the average rent for industrial manufacturing and warehouse facilities in northern Zhejiang Province, around Hangzhou and Ningbo, was approximately RMB 12.5 to RMB 13.5 per square meter, per month.  Average rent for R&D facilities in 2010 was approximately RMB 50 per square meter per month. Utility costs for industrial purposes vary throughout Zhejiang Province. Utility costs for industrial purposes have been on a rise since power shortages across the nation in the first half of 2011. Manufacturing facilities throughout the past five years have been growing so quickly that China’s infrastructure has struggled to provide the necessary resources to keep up. In some cases, China officials have cut back hours so that electricity and water demands may be equally met. As China has struggled to meet electricity needs throughout the nation, the cost of electricity, from 2010 to 2011, increased by RMB 0.012 per kilowatt hour ($0.004 per kwh).  Water costs range average RMB 2.4 per cubic meter, and electricity costs range from RMB 0.52 to RMB 0.63 per kilowatt-hour.
