Labor Costs

Tianjin Employee Wage & Labor Cost Information

In early 2011, the average wage for a direct employee in Tianjin was approximately 1998 RMB per month. Tianjin’s minimum wage is about RMB 9 per hour and RMB 1,070 per month for full time employees. However, Chinese legislatives intend to increase the minimum wage slowly over the next five years. Increasing the minimum wage is aimed to help lower high inflation and increase the standard of living across China.  Calculating the exact cost of a direct employee on an hourly basis involves a complex formula composed of a daily base salary, employee incentives, and taxation.
